Scrubs: Final

Monday 11.30pm, Channel Seven

What makes Scrubs a little bit special, what sets it apart from other off-the-wall comedies such as South Park or Boston Legal (with which it undoubtedly shares a sensibility) is its big heart. Beneath the craziness, it's delightfully sentimental. So tonight's season wrap is full of babies, weddings and lurv sweet lurv. Of course, it also relentlessly mocks babies, weddings and lurv sweet lurv, in its own off-the-wall way. (Puzzling over the perfect wedding gift? How about subcutaneous contraception?) It's silly, it's rude, it's often really off-colour. But it always has that big, squishy warm heart. And Zach Braff's very sweet face. And tonight it even manages its own Scrubs kind of cliffhanger - as if we needed another reason to come back next season
